A major midwest steel manufacturing facility needed to update and
rebuild
critical plant infrastructure including a blast furnace that daily
produces tons
of material used in the steel making process. Space
at the facility is at a
premium and the prime contractors involved in the project required
an on site modular building to work from.

Working closely with the customer a 9,500 sq.ft.
modular building was
designed and constructed that incorporated general office areas,
conference rooms, shower/locker
facilities and a high tech,
gas tight control room. The 15 unit prefabricated
modular
complex now houses all of
the operations of the blast furnace as well as the
rebuild team.
The seamless prefab modular building, complete with vertical steel exterior siding,
standing seam roof, and clear-span open spaces, was in place in
about 60
days immediately producing an efficient, cohesive atmosphere among
blast furnace operations and rebuild teams. |
